Nvidia Tegra+Android Phone – Next Generation Touchscreen.

Touchscreen phones are really emerging in the industry of mobile phones and a lot of new mobile phones which is a touchscreen based are now out on the market, but this next-generation smart phone is really an exciting and cool one.
As stated by Michael Rayfield, general manager, mobile business unit at NVIDIA, NVIDIA and Google are both working to unlock the visual computing potential of mobile devices and this announcement matches the power of Tegra with the innovation of the Android platform. “NVIDIA will be working within the Open Handset Alliance to continually strengthen the ability of Android to tap into advanced mobile graphics and media acceleration to make interaction with handheld technology more intuitive and instinctive.
What is Android?
Android is a complete, open mobile phone software stack. It includes everything a manufacturer or operator needs to build a mobile phone. Android will be made available as open source via the Apache v2 license, and it was designed from the ground up to enable the best user experience possible on a mobile phone. It leverages web and Internet content to provide advanced services such as mobile mash-ups and location-based applications.
A mobile operating system running on the Linux kernel. It was initially developed by Google and later the Open Handset Alliance. It allows developers to write managed code in the Java language, controlling the device via Google-developed Java libraries.

The Tegra Phone chips combine an ARM-based processor core and a GeForce graphics core coupled with features such as OpenGL ES 2.0, programmable pixel shader, vertex and lighting and most of all Direct3D Mobile support and this is awesome! a lot like personal computer! Other features such as 1080p and 720p H.264 decoding are just icing on the cake. Power requirements of Tegra chips is also relatively low offering up amazing performance without much worry for carrying around pockets full of spare batteries.
NVIDIA Tegra features a full touchscreen Google Android powered smartphone, capable of 1080p video and promised a 10 hour battery life of video task.
There is still no word yet on NVIDIA Tegra price and full specifications so there is still more features to excite us and i’ll let you know that.
